Today's Bubenreuth violin makers still win people over with their top-quality instruments, as can be seen by the numerous awards and prizes they win. This attractive "Karl Herrmann" 1/2 violin was professionally hand-crafted in 1988 in the violin-making town with its rich history of tradition. Quality tone woods were used for the narrow body — mildly flamed sycamore maple for the back and moderately- to wide-grained spruce for the top. The instrument is coated with a rich, luminous orange varnish and has a very sophisticated appearance. It is undamaged and in very good ready-to-play condition. This attractive little violin sounds bright, brilliant, rich in overtones, clear and open.
