Fine 1/2 violin, Neuner & Hornsteiner, Mittenwald

This antique 1/2 violin is a true rarity from the Mittenwald workshops of Neuner & Hornsteiner, where it was carefully crafted in approximately 1880. The flawless quality of the craftsmanship and the impressing tonal qualities give even better evidence of the 1/2 violin‘s provenance that was built after a typical model with flat arching. The bordeaux-red varnish with its interesting patina introduces an antique 1/2 violin, and some scratches demonstrate that former owners enjoyed to play it. Crack-free and without any damage, this rare 1/2 violin was thoroughly worked over by our luthiers and is immediately ready to unfold its exceptionally strong voice that is perfectly suitable for contest performances, with a strong, dark and mature character that is absolutely comparable to larger sized instruments from Mittenwald.
