This excellent sounding French 3/4 sized violin was built approx. 1880 in the renowned workshops of Jérôme Thibouville-Lamy (J.T.L.) in Mirecourt. The instrument bears a Breton model stamp and label inside the body; the attractively large sound-holes were cleanly cut and indicate the good quality of this fine 3/4 violin that was built after a well-proven Stradivari model. The shining orange-brown varnish of this rare antique small-sized instrument has patina and signs of age, it is offered in perfect condition after a complete work-over, ready to play with a resonant, powerful sound, that is mature and with excellent volume.
