An old German violin. The violin is a Saxon manufacture work around 1930, a 1/2 size with a body length of 32.1 cm. The violin is made according to the model of Antonius Stradivarius. The top is made of medium grained spruce, the two piece back of mildly flamed sycamore maple. As a special feature a dark discoloration stands out - traces of a wood fungus, by no means a crack or a repair. The violin is in excellent condition except for some wear on the varnish, mainly on the top, and a small repair on the uvula. Strong, clear and mature in character is the solid sound that will please delicate and also strong players.
