Excellent 1/2 Italian violin by Azzo Rovescalli made in 1912 - a rare instrument in terms of its size and good quality, meticulously crafted by hand in keeping with the principles of modern Italian violin making. Even at first glance it is clearly a work from the Milanese school and bears the dated original label by Azzo Rovescalli – an interesting Milanese violin maker who producted excellent work even in this complicated format. The red-brown varnish is lovely, ornamented by charming structure as well as a few traces of use.
