This powerful German viola bow is a quality piece of mature craftmanship that was made in Markneukirchen in the late 20th century, around 1980. The viola bow features a brandstamp and a convenient weight of around 66, with its balance-point centered, slightly shifted towards the lower half of the stick. The strong octagonal stick was made of good quality pernambuco wood; it features a noteworthy distribution of diameter that allows powerful play and a precise tone. The nickel mounted ebony frog is decorated with a white mother-of-pearle eye, a classical and tasteful setup. This good quality handmade German viola bow is in perfect condition.
