The late works of Auguste Husson, who was known as Husson-Mariet, include this violin bow dating back to around 1925. Its powerful, refined sound and elegant details demonstrate Auguste Husson's maturity and experience. Husson crafted the masterfully shaped stick out of dark-brown pernambuco, and it is graced by an especially well-formed head. Its high resilience gives the bow the ideal combination of strength and elasticity, forming the cornerstone of its exceptionally good and very precise playing characteristics. A certificate by the highly esteemed Parisian bow-making expert Jean-Francois Raffin authenticates this Auguste Husson bow's provenance and set its value at €3,500. Our restoration experts thoroughly set up the bow at our atelier, and we recommend this magnificent French bow to sophisticated violinists who will appreciate the voluminous fluid sound which opens up a broad range of musical opportunities.
