French violin bow by Atelier Charles Louis Bazin, known as Louis Bazin. This violin bow was made around 1945 and is an interesting piece from the workshop of Charles Louis Bazin (1881-1953). This bow was made around 1945, and it pays full honour to its heritage from the famous Mirecourt family ateliers. This Atelier Louis Bazin violin bow is a forgiving and active player, it fits well in the hand, is very responsive and is excellent for active play with its bright, clear and radiant, powerful sound. The strong round stick was made of dark-brown pernambuco and features good strength and elasticity. The distinctive head was patterned after the Bazin family model; the ebony frog with nickel silver fittings is decorated by a long mother-of-pearl slide. At a length of 74.4 cm, this Louis Bazin violin bow has its balance point centered, slightly inclined towards the lower half of the stick which allows more powerful play to shy players.
