Antique French violin bow with excellent playing and sound characteristics made by Charles Nicolas Bazin around 1900. The stable round stick was made in keeping with his own model, a source of inspiration which C. N. Bazin turned to more and more during this period. This tendency would become a recurring theme in his work, which had to be set aside for many years after he had to take on the family business following his father’s sudden death. In the last two decades of the 19th century, an extremely successful era of his life, Charles Nicolas Bazin was able to find new ways to express the light and dynamicprinciple that makes Voirin bows distinctive. This excellent affordable French violin bow, which weighs 59 g, is an excellent example of the success of his approach. Its balance point is perceived as being centred, slightly inclined towards the upper half of the stick. Made of well-selected bee wood and best craftmanship, the unstamped violin bow has classically beautiful premium fittings with a nickel-mounted ebony frog graced by a Pearl eye and one-part adjuster. The bow has been completely set up and is now in perfect condition, ready to play, and its powerful, large, radiant, sweet and warm sound is compelling. Ready to play, free shipping, with a 30-day return policy and Corilon's take-back guarantee.
