The warm, ringing sound that this Markneukirchen F. C. Pfretzschner violin bow of light-brown pernambuco creates is the ultimate testimony to the flawless craftsmanship with which it was produced in the mid/late 20th century in Markneukirchen, the Saxonian violin-making city. The strong stick of excellent tension with a round diameter has strong power and tension when played and bears the original stamp, „F C Pfretzschner,“ above the frog. Premium-quality Markneukirchen bows made in small master workshops for the highly regarded company GEWA were given this brand name, which justifiably draws upon the finest artisan traditions of Markneukirchen bows. Common features for these pieces include top-tier Markneukirchen workmanship, this F.C. Pfretzschner bow has a nickel-mounted ebony frog, a Pearl eye and a three-part adjuster. The violin bow made its way to us in undamaged condition and we offer it ready to play and in prime condition. The balance point is in the upper half, measured at 27.4 cm.
