Antique violin bow, this nickel-silver mounted Markneukirchen violin bow is the work of the Knopf family in Markneukirchen. This bow was crafted around 1910 in the Knopf family workshop and it has a distinctive character to it; the ebony frog has a large Parisian eye. Masterful craftsmanship can be seen in the weight distribution of the round stick; the balance point is in the upper half of the stick near the middle. This is an excellent and responsive, grippy and very handy Knopf violin bow for demanding musicians and is in perfect condition. It has a clear, large and sophisticated sound that is bright, sweet and radiant. This fine antique violin bow deserves our warmest recommendation!
