This excellent German violin bow after J. B. Vuillaume bears a stamp "Thibouville-Lamy" on shaft on the audience side, but it was more likely made by a master bow maker in Markneukirchen. It is a very fine quality c.1900 silver mounted piece that features an elastic round stick of medium strength, perfectly balanced, made of finest quality pernambuco wood. The long-nosed head is especially elegant and neatly finished. The silver mounted ebony frog mounted in a Vuillaume slide and made in the style of Vuillaume is decorated with a small Pearl eye and a white-rose shimmering pearl slide. This delicate violin bow feels very comfortable in the hand and has its balance point well-centered at play, measured at 25.9 cm of this 74.5 cm stick. This highly recommendable violin bow produces a surpirisingly large, warm, bright and seet sound and brings out colors and overtones.
