Coming from the renowned and traditional Markneukirchen and master made by C. A. Hoyer, this excellent German violin bow was made in the 1940ies. C. A. Hoyer's original brandstamp with his name and the typical C.A. Hoyer initials is located on shaft. The octagonal stick is of medium strength and made of redbrown pernambuco wood of excellent quality. The bow plays fluidly and forgiving, with good elasticity. The finely finished ebony frog is silver mounted with a golden yellow-greenish glimmering pearl slide and a Pearl eye. This bow is perfectly balanced, the sensed balance point is broad and in the middle and measured at measured at 25.4 cm from the frog end of this 74.7 cm violin bow. The warm, large sound this bow produces deserves our special recommendation, it complements best those violins having a brilliant, perhaps somewhat sharp tone.
