This elegant early 20th century violin bow was made for the well-known manufacturer Hermann Dölling jun. in Markneukirchen. The round stick of attractive red-brown pernambuco wood is finely finished and features an excellent combination of strength and elasticity. The ebony frog is nickel mounted with a pearl eye - the adjuster has been added at a later point. The overall length is 74.4 cm, the felt balance point is well-centered, measured at 24.1 cm including the adjuster. It is an active, lively bow that plays well and fluid and produces a warm, bright, rounded tone.
