This fully handcrafted master violin bow is a contemporary piece made by master bow maker Michael Dölling in Markneukirchen. It was made around 2000/2010. The octagonal stick bears Michael Dölling's original brandstamp, it is made of high quality pernambuco wood, the strong stick plays very actively and features forgiving playing qualities. The finely hand-made ebony frog is silver mounted with a Parisian eye and adorned with a rose-white shimmering mother of pearl slide. The balance-point of this excellent Markneukirchen violin bow feels slightly inclined towards the tip, measured at 26.8 cm including the silver-ebony adjuster. This very useful and versatile Michael Dölling violin bow has a warm, large, rounded tone that is somewhat mellow and works very well with modern, sharp or shrill sounding violins as it adds some warmth to the violin sound.
