This beautiful silver mounted violin bow is a handy, lightweight bow for virtuoso play and features a surprisingly rounded, warm and precise sound; it was built approx. 1950 by a rather unknown maker, M. Winterling, in the Markneukirchen bow making tradition. The octagonal stick is of soft / medium strength and plays softly and fluidly, not allowing too much pressure, it was made of orangebrown pernambuco wood and is crafted with an excellently distributed diameter. The typical Markneukirchen head is full of character and demonstrates fine quality and skillful craftsmanship, just as the silver mounted ebony frog. The percieved balance point of the bow is well-centered and is measured at 24.8 cm of the total length of 74.5 cm. The violin bow features a warm, precise, fine sound and is offered ready to play.
