Exceptional violin bow by Karl Albert Nürnberger (Markneukirchen 1906-1972), well suited for professional musicians with demanding standards. Under the management of his father, Albert Nürnberger, Jr. (1854-1931), the workshop ranked alongside W. E. Hill & Sons as one of the world's best sources of bows for stringed instruments in its day. This violin bow has the original brandmark and a powerful, large and sophisticated sound; it was made around 1970, and its craftsmanship pays great tribute to its presumed heritage. The flexible yet strong, octagonal stick is and made of the finest red-brown pernambuco with a balance point that is measured at 25.0 cm (incl. the button of solid silver) and feels as if it is centered, slightly inclined towards the lower half of the stick allowing good handling. In keeping with the high quality of the wood, this Albert Nürnberger violin bow has especially exquisite features: the ebony frog with its mother-of-pearl eye is mounted in genuine silver, while the slide has a charming play of shimmering rosé and green. We offer this special piece that comes from a collector in best condition, rarely played, ready to play.
