Silver mounted German violin bow by Richard Geipel made in Markneukirchen/Schönlind in the 1960/1970's. The violin bow bears the "Rich. Geipel" brandstamp on shaft - a very successful, forgiving violin bow with a medium octagonal stick made of fine, dark-red quality pernambuco wood. The silver mounted ebony frog is decorated with a Pearl eye and a white shimmering pearl slide. This useful allrounder has a centered balance point, slightly inclined towards the lower half of the stick and measured at 25.9 cm of 74.3 cm total length; its total weight is 60.9 g. This excellent Richard Geipel violin bow is suitable for players with soft bow pressure and produces a warm sound.
