Antique Markneukirchen violin, approx. 1910

This petite Markneukirchen violin was built in the Schuster & Co workshops in Markneukirchen in the early 20th century in approx. 1910. It features medium archings and was designed after classical patterns of Antonio Stradivari - a convincing instrument due to its good standards of craftsmanship, excellent tonewoods and preferable sound qualities. The medium grained spruce top and the mild flames of the two-piece maple back introduce typical woods of the Vogtland region in Saxony, with a beautiful grain that is decorated with a luminous light-brown varnish. The tastefully crafted edges and the archings are the clear works of an experienced violin maker. Our expert luthiers reviewed this instrument that is preserved without any damage or repair very good condition, ready to play, so its recommendably warm, mature sound can express its warm, mellow, rouned voice that is rich in overtones and features some sweetness.
