An outstanding antique violin from the mid 19th century, this well preserved violin by Johann Fürst was made around 1860 in the Bavarian violin making town of Mittenwald on a personal model and bears the original label of Johann Fürst. Its flat arching with a gentle fluting, tastefully rounded corners and a well-done, handsome purfling present an antique masterpiece with a large, mature sound made in superior quality traditional Mittenwald construction. This 19th century instrument convinces with its powerful, well-balanced, large and mature, rounded sound, which is warm and rich in colors. Like all instruments in our catalog, this undamaged 1860 Johann Fürst violin is preserved with many traces from playing in remarkable, undamaged condition and has been carefully worked over by the luthiers in our workshop.
