Antique French violin, handcrafted in Mirecourt around 1840 in the typical style of the era. This large violin from the first half of the 19th century is a very good sounding model with well-crafted arching. The sound holes and purfling are particularly beautiful and expertly crafted. The two-piece top is made of regular, medium-grained spruce, the two-piece back of flamed maple. The transparent, light-brown varnish is in excellent condition with only a few traces of use and has a wonderful patina. This attractive French violin is in very good condition with no cracks or repairs. Its sound is warm, full-bodied and powerful, with radiant highs that accentuate the character of the violin. Like all of our violins and bows, this well-preserved antique string instrument is offered in the Corilon violins online shop with a 30-day right of return and Corilon's trade-in guarantee.
