A beautiful work after Antonio Stradivari expressing its makers solid experience is this beautiful 1920'ies German violin made in the region of Saxony. The tonewoods - regularly grained spruce for the top, deeply flamed maple for the back, the scroll cut from mildly flamed maple - are of very good quality and aesthetics. A flawless piece of work; the small, elegant soundholes are accurately cut, the inlaid purfling is neatly let into the egde. The highly transparent gold-brown varnish with well-made antiqueings underline the character of the instrument. The violin has been luthier-set up and is ready to play. Fine quality pegs, a new bridge, soundpost, tailpiece, chinrest and new strings have been installed. The sound is bright and of very good power and strength, well-balanced, warm and rich in overtones.
