This quality violin, an instrument full of unmistakable French character, was built in 1934 in the workshops of Georges Apparut in Mirecourt, the famous violin making town in the Vosges mountains. It is a piece of finest craftsmanship, with highly transparent, shining varnish of orange-brown color, that underlines the beautiful, deep flaming of the one-piece maple back and the ribs, and the very regular texture of the spruce top. The violin bears the label "Charotte-Millot" that was used as a trademark by Georges Apparut. The f-holes of the low-arched violin are thoroughly cut, the charming scroll is carefully crafted. Our violin maker worked over the violin and made it ready to play, a convincing instrument in perfect condition with a clear, warm, powerful voice - suitable for soloistic play.
