Dating back to around 1929, this beautiful antique Markneukirchen violin was crafted in the highly successful ateliers of Schuster & Co. in Markneukirchen. It is a violin patterned after a Jacobus Stainer model, bearing Schuster & Co's original label. The craftsman behind this instrument was a talented artisan who paid attention to detail: the elegantly shaped sound holes radiate a unique character, and the delicate purfling was clearly done by an experienced hand. A transparent and luminously beautiful red-brown varnish with meaningful traces from intensive playing play up the flaming on the two-piece maple back. This antique violin, which has been kept in very good condition and is ready to play, will win the experienced player over for multiple reasons, most notably because of its outstanding, powerful sound with its bright, clear and radiant sound rich in overtones.
