The violin bears his original Ludwig Gläsel Jr. label, which is dated 1924. This fine Ludwig Gläsel violin was made of very interesting and well-chosen tonewoods. Highly transparent golden-orange-brown oil varnish underlines the impressive, narrow flames of the two-piece maple back, ribs and scoll. The top is made of medium grained spruce with a very fine texture; only minor traces of use speak of an almost than 100 years of the instrument´s history. The expressive self-confident shape of the body and scroll and the skillfully crafted arching are the clear work of an experienced master: experience that created a fine quality, individual violin with an unique sound that is radiant and sweet.
