This lovely old German Fribourg violin by Carl Ruckmich (Purveyor to the Court of the Grand Duchy of Baden) was made around 1920. It is a very beautiful sounding old German piece of work after Stradivarius with a successful, aesthetic arching. The top is made of regular medium-grained spruce, the two-piece back of flamed maple. The beautiful varnish with antique touches is a spirit-oil varnish of an intense red-brown color, which is in good condition with slight craquelle and few signs of wear. The instrument is in perfect condition, crack-free, undamaged and in full playing condition. Like all Corilon instruments, our luthiers set up the violin thoroughly, so that it can develop its warm, full sound with a light, almost Italianate soft note. Like all our violins, it comes with free shipping and a 30-day right of return and Corilon's trade-in guarantee. Recommended!
