This good Neuner & Hornsteiner violin was made in Mittenwald in 1912. It is a work of very good quality that was made on the model of Guarnerius, as indicated on the original Neuner & Hornsteiner label. This violin is an especially attractive antique piece made of premium tonewoods, the top is made of medium grained Mittenwald spruce, the two piece back of flamed Alpine maple from the Karwendel mountains. At our atelier for restoration, our violin maker has carefully worked over and set up this good Neuner & Hornsteiner violin which is offered crackfree, in perfect condition. The sound is a strong and mature Mittenwald tone - resonant, rich in overtones, sweetness in the higher ranges and good, carrying power.
