Hans Fürst, violin maker in Mittenwald (1896 - 1976)
This tonally excellent Mittenwald violin by Hans Fürst was made in 1946 on a slim and petite model and is perfectly suitable for small-handed players. The violin is a typical instrument of the Mittenwald violin making tradition. Selected tonewoods originate from the Mittenwald surrounding Karwendel mountains, tonewoods responsible not only for the beautiful optical appearance of the violin but also for its characteristic tonal character. The delicate, expressive scroll and the neatly engraved soundholes attest solid skills of the maker. The orange-brown varnish shows some signs of age and is in gerenally good condition. This highly recommendable Mittenwald violin by Hans Fürst is offered in excellent condition, it has been meticulously worked over by our master violin maker and is offered in perfect condition, ready to play. It is a powerful violin that responds instantly and has a clear, ringing and very powerful, warm voice.
