This rare French violin is a mid 19th century piece of work that was made by Paul Cabasse around 1850. The violin bears the original CABASSE stamp. The work and model are very typical for Mirecourt violin making tradition of the times, with medium ribs and archings. The violin varnish is of a light-brown color over a yellow ground, well preserved with some signsof age and slight patination. With one table repair that is already considered in the price, this rare Paul Cabassse violin is offered in very good immediate playing condition. The violin has been set up by our luthiers and is - like all violins and bows from us - in perfect and immediate playing condition. The sound is strong, matured, resonant, well balanced over the strings and with good clear volume in the lower ranges. Includes Corilon violins trade-in guarantee and optional certificate of value.
