In this young Cremona violin, Renato Superti formulates an interesting and profound answer to the musical questions of our time - in the idiom of Cremona's great violin making tradition.

The heritage of Stradivari, Amati and Guarneri has inspired luthiers in Cremona for centuries and signifies a commitment to the highest standards of good, traditional craftsmanship, as expressed most beautifully in this violin by Renato Superti, made in 2019. The medium grained spruce of the top and the tightly flamed maple of the two-piece back and ribs are tonewoods with the best vibrational properties and a noble aesthetic, which the golden brown oil varnish, richly applied on a yellow ground according to Cremonese violin making tradition, completes with its shine and striking luminosity. The confidently large scroll and the purfling finely extended into the corners represent Superti's attention to detail, which he shares with the luthiers in our workshop: They have refurbished this perfectly preserved violin with the greatest care, improved its sound and immediately prepared it ready to play, so that its bright, radiant sound can fully develop its open, clear and mature character with its sweet draw in the upper ranges.
