A piece of outstanding beauty of sound from the best period of Celani's work, for professional use, solo and in an orchestra.

Constantino Celani (1869–1953) was an exceptional figure in the cosmos of excellent small violin-making workshops that developed in the 19th century in the Italian region of the Marche. He was trained by his brother, Emilio “Il Turco” Celani, and took over the workshop after his brother's early death in 1898. Until 1949, he created the fine stringed instruments, which won numerous silver and gold medals and are in demand among connoisseurs.

Made in the 1920s, this fine violin with its unmistakable Italian character showcases the mature artistry and personal style of Celani, who influenced a generation of young liutai at his violin-making school in Ascoli Piceno. The body, which is somewhat smaller with a 35.4 cm back, flat ribs and a luminous, transparent varnish, is responsible for the excellent playing characteristics and exceptionally beautiful, warm and golden radiant sound, which meets the highest standards with its richness of overtones, a perfectly rounded color spectrum and its powerful, ringing substance. This tonal jewel of modern Italian violin making is in excellent condition, as our workshop confirmed during a thorough examination. The label by Gaetano Pareschi inside the body raises interesting questions about the relationship between these two masters; however, a certificate from the renowned London expert Florian Leonhard unequivocally establishes Celani's authorship.
