This perfectly strong sounding and very powerful Austrian master violin by Rudolf Schuster (1885 Schönbach - 1955 Graz) is suitable for soloists, it was made in 1930 in his traditional Graz workshop in keeping with the German-bohemian tradition a Stradivarius model. Rudolf Schuster, who hails from Schönbach near Markneukirchen, worked in the best ateliers of his time at Georg Winterling in Hamburg and Eugen Gärtner in Stuttgart. He settled in Graz after the displacements of the first world war and established his own workshop where he worked until his death in 1955. This old master violin is a powerful master instrument with very good acoustic qualities. With its balanced, warm, powerful ringing sound, the violin stands besides the good Ernst Heinrich Roth master violins and is an beautiful example of high-quality traditional Markneukirchen-Bohemian handcraftsmanship of the 20th century. The spruce used for the top features an evenly patterned fine grain which harmonises beautifully with the two piece maple back of deeply flamed maple. This interesting Rudolf Schuster violin's highly appealing appearance comes from it wonderfully transparent light-brown oil varnish on a golden-yellow background, its accurate purfling and its large, attractive small scroll. Preserved in perfect condition, this piece is a solost violin is preserved in very good condition, this violin was made ready to play in our atelier and invites you to explore the broad musical options it offers.
