Fine master violin by Paul Didier, Metz No. 197
Built in 1948, this fine French violin made by award-winning Paul Didier in Metz is a strong sounding piece, with its brilliant clear, strong and radiant sound that is well-balanced, precise, rich in overtones and with enough assertiveness. Paul Didier's dated original label confirm the violin's provenance. The top is made of moderately grained spruce of the Vosges mountains, the two-piece back is made of mildly flamed sycamore maple and has a typically French bulge. Expert workmanship can be seen in the details. We offer this fine violin by Paul Didier undamaged, crackfree in very good condition, and like all old stringed instruments from Corilon violins, it has been completely worked over and set up in our atelier.
