Since 1858, the Mittenwald violin making school has taught its students the art of crafting instruments, and over the years countless masters have emerged from its ranks. This golden-brown Mittenwald violin originally labeled "Meister Glass Werkstatt Mittenwald/Karwendel" and dated 1995 is a fine quality and meticulously handmade Mittenwald violin with its craftsmanship and the outstanding quality of its sound. It has been frequently played and remained - except some varnish marks - in unusually good condition since. The expertise which went into crafting this premium violin is evident in the soft arch of the body, the finely carved soundholes and accurately executed edgework. The coat of golden-brown Mittenwald varnish is despite some signs of playing in excellent condition. This original contemporary Mittenwald violin was made of the finest Mittenwald tone woods and has a powerful, clear, warm, large sound — darker in the lower registers, and bright, sweet and open in the upper registers. Crackfree, perfectly preserved and completely worked over by our luthiers and offered ready to play.
