This old German violin of quality labeled "Handmade in Mittenwald 1964" is a beautiful piece of work which probably originates from the workshop of Erich Sander. It is a quality Mittenwald violin was made in 1964 in traditional violin-making town Mittenwald. The delicate model with the extended corners is quite characteristic. The expressive tone woods are well selected: the top is made of beautiful regular spruce, the two-piece back is made of flamed maple. This lovely violin has a highly craquelled oil varnish and a warm, rich and powerful sound and is completely undamaged, crackfree and in perfect condition.
