A particularly appealing violin with a large radiant overtone is this beautiful French violin by Gustave Bazin, made in 1949 in the famous town of violin-making Mirecourt. The instrument is solidly preserved with clear playing marks and a visible repair of the back joint. It is not only a very appealing instrument due to its exceptionally powerful and clear sound, but also the dark burgundy varnish with its playing marks gives the instrument its own personal character. The purfling and scroll reveal the high quality of craftsmanship. Like all Corilon's old stringed instruments, this beautiful French violin has been completely restored by our luthier and is ready to play. With its exceedingly powerful, big sound of adult character, the violin is a highly recommended instrument of a usually higher price range, which has good, singing resonance in the upper ranges.
