An old German violin with a clear, warm and bright sound, handmade in the Markneukirchen region in Saxony in the 1950's. Some older varnish damage spots on top and mild traces from playing underlines the old appearance of this beautiful German violin that was made early in the 20th century. Some traces of use indicate that this instrument has a rich musical biography and was often and intensively played. Due to its individual character the violin yet sets itself apart from ordinary standard instruments in the price range. The light golden-brown varnish was applied over a lighter ground and bears sublte antiqueings. As remarkable as the violin's non-standard appearance is its warm, somewhat mellow sound: clear, appealing and of good quality. Like all instruments from us, the crackfree violin has been completely worked over by our luthiers and is offered ready to play.
