This baroque violin that was built around the turn of the 18th century in approximately 1800 in the Hopf workshop in Klingenthal is a rare instrument that has never been modified to modern standards. This rare baroque violin retains its original neck and bassbar - an original violin that is full of character and meets the demands of demanding players with its excellent sound. Its unmistakably individual style is expressed by the beautiful scroll and the typical square outline of the body. The beautiful soundholes are clear works of self-confident, premium craftsmanship, just as the fine purfling that was executed with utmost care. The provenance of this appealing antique instrumentfrom the Hopf workshop in Klingenthal is further confirmed by the original brandstamp on the back. This affordable baroque violin is perfectly set up for early music practice with a baroque bridge, soundpost and the characteristically short fingerboard, which is original. This interesting historical piece has been meticulously set up by our luthiers and is with a minor table repair only in very good condition, offered ready to play.
