The violin is a German piece of work from the 1930ies. The instrument is a close copy of a violin by Guarnerius del Gesu from the year 1741, well made, easy to understand and beautiful of appearance. The top is made of medium grained spruce, the two piece back of deeply flamed maple. The varnish is of a golden red color with expertly made antiqueings. The instrument is crackfree, undamaged and perfectly preserved. It has been checked and set up by our luthier to fine and immediate playing condition. The sound is bright and open, mature, strong and clear. An unique individual instrument at the price!
