Wenzl Fuchs came from a long line of violin makers from the Czech village of Schönbach, and Wenzl Fuchs was one of the German luthiers who was forced out of Czechoslovakia and settled in the Franconian region after WWII. His violin remain in international demand to this day, especially in the US. The master's extensive experience is evident in several different details of this very compelling instrument. Wenzl Fuchs chose the finest tone woods: moderately-grained spruce for the top and deeply flamed sycamore maple for the back.
