This German violin is a Saxon copy of Stradivari, built in the 1970s in Erlbach in Martin Tauscher's workshop, following Saxonian traditions of violin making. The instrument is a solid piece, well-crafted and aesthetically appealing with its glossy orange-brown transparent spirit varnish covering the top which is made from nice, wide to medium grained spruce, and the gentle flames of the two-piece back. The purfling is neatly made. Indeed this good German violins sound is quite motivating to play, bright and mature, clear, open and brilliant. We are offering this Erlbach violin in perfect condition, ready to play and worked over completely by our experienced luthier.
