Violin after Jacobus Stainer that features a precise, ringing tone

Based on a slender Jacobus Stainer model with high arching, this violin was made in the early 20th century around 1910, in the traditional Saxon violin making town of Klingenthal in Saxony. Its Saxon origins are immediately apparent from the craftsmanship and the typical coloring of the varnish, which has developed pretty antique patina and has appropriate signs of age and playing. The maple of the one-piece back is a well-chosen, beautiful tonewood that tastefully corresponds with the medium grained spruce of the top. The violin, which is in excellent condition, has been thoroughly refurbished in our workshop and is ready to play immediately, with a warm, resonant sound that is precise and rich in overtones. Suitable only for players with a strong bow stroke.
