This lovely antique violin with a slim neck by Adolf Sprenger, Stuttgart was crafted in the Mittenwald violin making tradition in 1918. The expressive and very skilled carving of the scroll communicates an individual Mittenwald style which suits the historic aesthetic of the intense and luminous orange-brown varnish. The patina harmonises with the instrument's interesting personality. Our experienced violin makers have approved and set the Adolf Sprenger violin up completely so that it is now ready to play. This good antique violin's clear open sound is warm and bright, with a sweet note to it.
