The grain on the ribs and back of this interesting Italian violin is so intricate that it appears to have been drawn by the hand of an artist – and yet nature was the craftsman that inspired the Italian master Giuseppe Marconcini to build this exceptional violin in the early 19th century. The structure of this flat-arched master violin is in keeping with the finest Italian tradition which flourished in the region of Northern Italy and Alessando Mezzadri, where this violin hails from. The lustrous, golden-brown varnish sets the violin's distinctive aesthetic in its best light, and its appearance is wonderfully complemented by its voluminous, huge sound that is warm and mellow. This beautiful Italian violin has an original Giuseppe Marconcini label, and we offer it ready to play, with significant restoration (a doubled top plate) that is reflected in the price.
