SALE This beautiful Czech master violin was made by Carel Josef Dvorak (Carolus Joseph) in Prague in 1940, it bears the original dated label. Fine work can be seen in the details of this powerful instrument made on a Guarnerius model. The tone woods are well selected: the top made of medium grained spruce, the wonderful two piece back of deeply flamed maple. Beautiful master work can also be seen in the archings of top and back, and the individual, elegant almost delicate shape of the scroll. Carel Josef Dvorak prepared a soft and rich oil varnish of quality in texture and color, it is of a bright orange brown color. A repair to the center joint on top covered by the tailpiece is solid and well made, this allows us to offer this interesting Carel Josef Dvorak violin at an attractive price - an instrument which is generally well preserved and in excellent condition. This enigmatic Dvorak violin is ready to play, the well-balanced sound is clear, mature, radiant and somewhat sweet in character, textured and radiant in the upper ranges.
