This antique German Klingenthal violin was handmade around the turn of the century, circa 1900. The model is after Jacobus Stainer model, the indicated by the brandstamp Stainer on back below the button. The instrument has a one-piece back, the model with very distinctive archings and flat ribs. Prominent soundholes and the special antique appearance add their part to the violins extraordinary character. Intentionally, the beholder associates the more than one hundred years old instrument with terms like "historic, traditional, mysterious". The violins clear open sound is brilliant, bright notably well-balanced over the strings. With its very easy and sensible response the violin is convenient to play and suitable for orchestral playing.
